SAP has an application process
that must be completed before you can adopt an animal. It is a simple form to
fill out and requires a reference from your Veterinarian.
If you
do not currently own a pet we ask for two personal non-
related references that
know you and your home.
We will expect your vet to prove that your current
animals are vaccinated to date and that, unless you have a very good reason, your other animals are spay or neutered.
It is our goal to help to
eliminate pet over-population due to indiscriminate breeding, one
pet at a time. We require a signed spay/neuter contract on all
animals, and reserve the right by the contract to take back any animals that are
not spay/ neutered by the age listed.
Animals local to the Woodstock area
will be arranged for spay/ neuter by 6 months of age if puppies or
kittens, or within 30 days if adults, as part of the adoption process.
For adopters out of the local area, we require a spay neuter
certificate (available from your veterinarian) when the surgery is complete.
We try hard to match up the
right people with the right animals, but in the event that does not prove to be
the case SAP Rescue will take back any animal that is not working out in
its adoptive home.
We hope you will take the time to have a look at our
application and agreements and apply for an animal today. SAP looks
forward to helping you to find your next family member.
As well as adopting
animals out into homes, SAP is dedicated to see that all animals have a happy
fulfilled life. We strongly suggest that you take your pet to
classes at a recommended dog training school. The bond
you create with your animals and the skills you learn will help you to
have a long-lasting, wonderful relationship. Please check with us
if you need help in finding a trainer near you.
